At Turing House, we believe that every child should have the opportunity to enjoy a broad and balanced curriculum and to enhance their learning by taking part in creative, musical, sporting and adventurous activities. With limited funding, we rely on the support of our families and friends to make this possible.
To support our efforts to enhance the opportunities and experiences we are able to offer at Turing House, we would like to encourage as many families as possible to contribute towards our School Fund.
What is the School Fund?
Our School Fund helps us to provide services and equipment that aren’t covered by our Government funding. Many secondary schools operate similar schemes, to enrich their curriculum and provide extra resources.
The School Fund gives you the opportunity to make a regular contribution that suits your budget. We suggest between £5 and £15 per month. If just three quarters of our families donated £5 a month, we could raise £33K towards enhancing your child’s educational experience!
How can you contribute towards the School Fund?
Just Giving
Use our JustGiving webpage and select “Make a Monthly Donation”. One-off donations are also welcome.
This is the school’s preference for making contributions as it allows us to claim GiftAid on your contribution. JustGiving also allows you to donate anonymously if you wish.
Parent Pay
It is possible to donate through through ParentPay
Just log into your account and select the ‘School Fund’ option. However, this does not allow the school to obtain Gift Aid on your contribution.
Standing Order
Complete the Standing Order form available on our website, or set up a regular payment from your bank using the sort code & account no on the standing order form. (Please give your payment the reference “THS School Fund”).
As with contributions via Parent Pay, the school will miss out on Gift Aid on standing order contributions.
Through Your Employer
Many employers operate a matched giving scheme. This means that your donation will be enhanced with Gift Aid. Some employers even top up the donation themselves, sometimes doubling it!
Turing House Friends
THF also raise money for the school in various ways. One easy way of helping them and the school is to register on Easy Fundraising and raise money every time you shop online. Over the last 5 years, around 90 supporters have raised over £2,000. Imagine what could be raised if all Turing House families signed up!
We are very aware that there are a huge number of financial demands on families so we are very grateful to you for anything you feel you can contribute to Turing House School at this time.
