6th Form Curriculum Guide - Year 12 Art
1Human Boundaries Introduction
Students will work under the broad theme of Human Boundaries and will get some freedom on subject matter, however lessons at the start of the course will be teacher led workshops, trying out a broad range of media and learning new drawing techniques to push their skills further. We will explore artists such as Jenny Saville, Francis Bacon, Lucian Freud and Tracey Emin.
Assessment: Students will be assessed holistically, taking into account the work they have done over the entire term. They will be assessed on their development of ideas, written research of artists/themes, experimentation of materials, use of materials and final outcomes.Key Words and Terms

2Human Boundaries continued
Students will start to work more independently, choosing their own artists to inspire their work, and choosing which area of Human Boundaries they wish to explore further. Students will be working in a sketchbook, but will also be generating larger scale pieces outside the book.
