Assessment: To produce a fully functional clock with a stand inspired by a set design styleKey Words and Terms

Textiles 1Textiles Technology: Pyjama Bottoms
Students will learn how to create their own pajama bottoms whilst learning the following: - How to use the sewing machine correctly - How to use an overlocker correctly - Use of a digital embroidery machine - Patterns and pattern markings - Use of body measurements to create a personal paper pattern - Fibres and fabrics - Construction of fabrics - Seams and the neatening of seams - Sustainability and material management - Hems - CAD and CAM
Assessment: Use of the sewing machine - threading, control and stitch changingKey Words and Terms

Textiles 2Textiles Technology: Pyjama Bottoms completion
Students will learn how to create their own pajama bottoms whilst learning the following: - How to use the sewing machine correctly - How to use an overlocker correctly - Use of a digital embroidery machine - Patterns and pattern markings - Use of body measurements to create a personal paper pattern - Fibres and fabrics - Construction of fabrics - Seams and the neatening of seams - Sustainability and material management - Hems - CAD and CAM
Assessment: Students are assessed on the quality of their final product. The making of seams should be neat and accurate with confident use of the sewing machine. They should correctly use edge neatening so fabric does not fray.Key Words and Terms
